Skillshare is an online learning community for creators. Anyone can take an online class, watch video lessons, create projects, and even teach a class themselves.
Skillshare approached us in 2017, wanting to partner with YouTube influencers in creative categories like arts and animation, with the hopes to efficiently drive new sign-ups
Since 2017, Skillshare has exponentially grown their influencer program and user base. Influencers has been their most effective channel in terms of new user acquisition, and they have consistently increased spend on the channel month over month.
Influencers is an always-on performance marketing channel for Skillshare. They have sponsored thousands of videos over the past few years, driving billions of views – this content is evergreen, and it continues to drive large volumes of new views and sign-ups everyday
We helped Skillshare partner with smaller, micro creators (many were new to creating content and building momentum), but we also focused on investing in larger creators who could drive higher numbers of sign-ups. In both cases, the goal was to create long-term, ongoing partnerships that would drive value for Skillshare, while supporting independent creators.
Additionally, we helped organised multiple “deeper” influencer partnerships for Skillshare, helping bring to life “Skillshare Originals” classes with top performing influencers like Brandon Woelfel (45,000 students), Jon Olsson (20,000 students), Bernadette Banner (12,000 students) and more
